We do a lot of nature walks. South Central PA has many places to get lost on trails. And even our backyard is a great sanctuary.

Cedar Waxwings
Carolyn and I happened to be sitting on the deck when a storm of waxwings rolled in. Hundreds of waxwings, a bird we have rarely ever seen. There was some type of flying insect that must have been hatching or coming out of the soil, because the waxwings flew out from the trees, grabbed a snack and flew back in. This went on for over an hour. We were awe-struck and felt so lucky to have been outside at just that time.
